So my girlfriend and I were walking our dog around a bit, and we stopped by carter’s pet supply. Not a big fan of the saltwater section part of the store, but Its the closest LFS to our house, and I like to show her and teach her stuff. They had a peacock mantis shrimp, and at first was kind of grossed out by it, but then we continued watching it and she was really intrigued. She asked if it was ok to put in my tank. I said technically yes, but in reality no. They are one of my favorite creatures to set up a dedicated tank for though! And she was onboard! She said I could set up a dedicated tank for it!

But then she remembered that we were just talking about upgrading to @DaddyHook s tank, and started to back track a bit lol.

Lots of potential here, would be a very fun tank for the budget tank competition. To be continued!

I wanted one a long time ago, but my LFS couldnt really tell the difference between, and I wasnt very good at telling the difference between species either, so I ended up with a smaller species. Very cool creature, it carved out a rock and made its own den, always fed it off of a wooden skewer, kept lots of snails for it at all times, and it never messed with my fish
