High Tide Aquatics

Sponge ID

I got this weird hairy cone shaped sponge (I think) thing with feelers coming out of it. It's good at spreading to nearby areas which concerns me as I've had something that looks real cute get not-so-cute after it's spread everywhere. Does anyone know what it is & if its good to keep?

a bunch of them:

It is hard to tell with the lighting. Are they white or purplish? I'd be willing to trade for yellow sponges. I have red sponges as well but have no success at transplanting them.

Pineapple sponges are typically the first of any sponge to take hold in marine aquaria

They tend to disappear in older more mature tanks.
