Had a 34g Solana (20" x 20" x 20") going decently until our first born arrived in 2011.
It was a mix of fish, inverts + RBTA, LPS and a few SPS.
Had our second born in 2014 and that's when things really started to drop off...
Was nevertheless proud that I had an 11-year-old ocellaris clown that was older than my daughter (up until last year when the clown finally passed).
Girls are older now, and this Thanksgiving I decided to give everything another go.
Was getting tired of explaining to visitors why my tank was a barren wasteland. I also needed to justify my continuously refilling the automatic top off to "keep up" a near lifeless tank for the past 2+ years...
So far I've done a deep clean of the tank, put in new sand, new piece of rock, new water, and nearly got into an car accident leaving Bay Bridge Aquarium yesterday with 2 new fish. I got the new tank tinglies!
Wish me luck - hoping to get it into a good place before XMas when family comes to visit!
