Stenner pump

Hello forum,
Anyone have used or experienced stenner pumps? I want to use it for ATO and possibly AWC, but not sure what to expect..
Any experince sharing would be appreciated.

If noise is of concern, maybe a brushless is what you want.
A friend had a Watson Marlow with two heads running and it was quiet; he used it for ATO.
At some point one if the heads became noisy and a capacitor burned so he replaced it with another Watson Marlow, also very quiet in my opinion.
There are the Masterflex brushless but they are pricey.
I have a Masterflex dual head, not brushless but you can set the RPM on it via dial; another peri pump, cannot remember the brand and a fancy Ismatec; they are all paper weights....
The Watson Marlow that burned a capacitor I have it stored among other things that I mean to fix at some point.
Will post images of the pumps...

Oh this is super useful thank you so much..
I struggle with ATO cause my reservoir in the garage and higher then my sump so I need a solniod or a peristaltic pump to avoid flood. I do not like using check valve float it eats off my sump area...

Thanks alot again..

The dual head Masterflex is good for continuous water change; the Ismatec can be fitted with easy load heads but needs an adapter; the current head would be great to dose two-part
Don’t have images of the other two pumps with me...

A peri pump would be great since the reservoir is in the garage. They don’t tend to suffer of back flow due to the rollers maintaining the tubing compressed but in time, tubing wears a bit so I would put a check valve somewhere just for safety

Yup I agree.
For couple years now I have been using solniod, got burned with Neptune solniod and the atk twice, so now am using none Neptune solniod and I controll its power supply thru my ghl.
But as u must know solniods in general are not reliable and eventually they break, wile peri would be perfect.
Only issue is have is that the pump better be with the tank not with the reservoir. Meaning the input line will be long going from sump through the wall to the garage..that's why I was thinking of stenner cause I heard its powerful but was worried about the noise...

Higher RPM pumps make more noise in my opinion; also the tubing inner diameter will help on figuring the RPM of the pump and length of time it will run on.
With a continuous water change, you’d need to figure the volume you want to exchange, one head pulls out and the other replenishes; both heads need to have exact same inner diameter to keep precise the water change.

Good to know,
Worst case I want at least to start with the ATO then I can transition to AWC..
Btw even if the peri tubing degrade I do not think the peri will leak or allow a siphoned would it?
The rollers will prevent water from going g thru the tube when it is in stationary position...is this correct or no?

I have not used one, but did a lot of research on Stenner when setting up my auto-water-exchange.
Seems like they are considered pretty noisy.
Also seems like quality has gone downhill a bit in the last 5 years or so.

I ended up using litermeter perstaltic pumps. VERY quiet.
