Stocking up before tariff hit

Oh God. That's a great point. Arbitrary tariffs hitting electronics I figured. Arbitrary tariffs hitting stuff like salt I didn't consider, but that definitely will happen and that sucks.

Salt ICP tests. At least there's some aquarium food that's made in the US (hopefully the SF Bay stuff really is local?), but wouldn't be surprising if even that's going to go up since blister packs and blah blah are probably imported.

Presumably livestock is going to jump over 10% too? Ironically maybe that would cause good behavior changes. Buy the biota aquaculture stuff that's in Florida. Buy quarantined fish because the incremental cost of the quarantine is more evened out versus the base cost of the livestock.
 
Salt is a good idea. The top 2 salt are from Germany/EU. I might do the same. Have been using a lot of salt for water changes recently.

The frozen food I buy is from here. LRS.

TDO is from here too I guess.

Not sure where the seaweed is from.

All my major and minor element supplementation and ICP is from Germany, iFauna Marin, so their prices will increase,

Was planning to buy some more HYDROS stuff. Probably manufactured in China. Buy now?

Was looking into the new sicce skimmer for the nano tank. Italy/EU.
 
Good luck trying to game this everyone.

I’m more worried about the stock market crash right now. So far my retirement has been pushed back a year for each trading day after the announcement.

If you had liquid cash. This is where millionaires are made in the market. Warren Buffett says. When it rains , don’t go outside with a thimble , go outside with a bucket.
Gotta look at it as a excellent buying opportunity

Agreed. And I have less of a negative view because of that. But the issue is that given the high uncertainty, how low is the bottom and how long does it last is even more unpredictable this time.

Doesn’t matter. Unless you need the money in 3-5 years. . Gotta think long game. You’ll never catch the bottom or the top. Things will get better or worse. In 10-15-20 years. You’ll be in a better position because of this.
