Tech help needed

OK guys. Just got a cheapo tablet free and need help getting my email account to open. My email is through sbcglobal.net. They are asking for the POP3 server?? It defaulted to pop3.sbcglobal.net, which didn't work. pop.att.net didn't work nor pop.att.yahoo.com. Any clues???

Security type none?

I saw that page and tried the info on it, with no success.

I think these are the settings you need.

POP3 : inbound.att.net
PORT : 995
security : SSL/TLS (if it offers "StartTLS" do not choose that)
username : @sbcglobal.net
password :

SMTP: outbound.att.net
PORT : 465
security: SSL/TLS (if it offers "StartTLS" do not choose that)

Or we can play with it on Saturday.

Are you sure you want to use POP and not IMAP? POP doesn't leave copies of your email on the server like IMAP does.

Oh, I didn't bother Googling but I'm guessing they don't support IMAP, eh?

It might be a good time to switch to Gmail.
