Looks like a big freshwater apple lol snail was it alive? Coulda hitchhiked on a tanker possible..I found a dead conch with body last summer on stinson beach..who knows how it got here

After a little googling I think it's a moon snail. It's a predator that eats mussels and clams.

Nice ID thanks I've seen much smaller ones didn't know what they were and they got that big.. There is a red footed moon snail thats sold in the hobby water temp 70-75. With that huge foot looks like they can flip back over easily.
 
Haven’t been to the tide pools since 2022. It was a much needed relaxation with everything that has happened. I did have an emotional breakdown in the parking before hiking to the tide pools. Walking along the trail I did see two rabbits.

Collected seaweed for the tangs. Saw the typical creatures. Except this time I saw sea lions and for the first time an orange anemone.

Once the negative tides start later in the mornings I’ll have to make it out to Duxbury reef.
