Time to Part With My Reef – Clownfish, Corals, and Cleanup Crew

I'm Bitter at Crossroads. My Fluval Evo is coming up on four years old this month. It’s been home to a pair of clownfish for most of that time, and like many small tank keepers, I’ve wrestled with the usual challenges. Most recently, an algae outbreak I’ve just about beaten.

Unfortunately, it’s time to find a new home for the tank and its remaining inhabitants. While I was out of town last week, my wife kindly fed the fish but accidentally left the lid off afterward. One of the clowns jumped out overnight. Now the female is left alone with a couple of hermit crabs, snails, toadstool leathers, hammer coral, and brain coral.

The reality is, I’m away for work about a week every month, and while my wife does her best, this hobby asks a lot. It’s not fair to keep relying on her, and it’s definitely not fair to leave our surviving clown alone.

So, I’m hoping to pass along the Fluval Evo, along with the clownfish, corals, snails, and crabs, to someone with experience. Someone who can give them the stable, well-cared-for home they deserve.

It’s a mistake that can and has happened to many of us. We are human and make mistakes unfortunately.

OP, thank you for making the right choice and passing them onto someone who can give them the care they deserve. Hopefully someone here can give them a good home.

Comparing it to the size of the thermostat behind it on the wall i would say its the 13.5
