Also: does anyone know if bumblebees would harm my maxima? I'm not sure if it's just a mind story but I have heard people suggest they might predate on clams

I've had the same 4 in my tank for over 3 years, they run like a pack of wolves always together and I go months without seeing them at times, to my knowledge they haven't bothered anything I have vermatids but they aren't increasing in numbers in the tank with bumblebees though I have never seen them eat any vermatids. I have seen them eating dead turbo snails on rare occasions. The tanks where I don't have any vermatids seem to be increasing.

I do recall on a video I saw at some point a claim of them possibly eating clams. I'm not certain if the clam was dead or dying verse healthy when they seen the snails eating them. So you would have to take the claims of them eating clams with a bit of uncertainty without alot of similar claims.

Have both in my tank. Maxima and bumblebees. No issues. I’ve had bumblebees in all my tanks. Keep them as a precaution. Never had vermetids unless they came in on a frag but I’m pretty quick at dealing with them manually.
