TT’s Frag Tank

Hi there! My name is Thao and i’ve been reefing for a couple years. I’m in Sacramento but travel to many places including the bay just for this hobby lol! I use to have a 32g display tank but thought I would be moving so I broke it down and converted it into this style tank for easier moving. I do miss my rocks and sand so I can’t wait to buy a new display tank and get that going one day! I’m sure like most of us, I too have a coral addiction LOL I love collecting them and if I could i’d have more but this is where my collection sits for now until I have more space. This community is honestly the best. I love seeing everyone’s tanks and reading all about the many years of experience many of you have. I hope I can make the next swap to meet some of you! :)

Awesome tank!

Always so much stress over having enough live rock ....clearly not necessary!
Thank you! Not necessary but does take the tank longer to reach an equilibrium before my CUC I was dealing with hair algae which was holding onto phosphates. That was the annoying part lol once you get past that ugly part its smooth sailing

Acan Collection is coming along!

Looks terrific! No sand or rock? What do you feed your blenny? Do you have a skimmer in the equipment area? Ceramic media? What type of flow/pumps do you have?
Detritus does not build up? How to cool to look at and work on an awesome looking tank like that!

Thank you! No sand or rock. I have a six line and starry blenny for clean up, when they arent grazing on pods or algae they eat frozen mysis/brine. I dont have a skimmer, its an AIO. In my first chamber i have basket caddy of just filter floss that I switch out once every 1-2weeks. In my 2nd chamber i have another basket caddy with ceramic media. I run two nero 3s, one underneath the crates and one above this prevents most detritus build up. Mighty jet for the return pump! :) The cuc do majority of the cleaning, ill come in a couple times a week to scrap the glass to keep the tank shiny lol
