Tube Anemones? Any tips?

I accepted a donated Tube Anemone yesterday. Looks exactly like the one in this picture.

I did some light reading on them. Apparently they make a tube in the sand by excreting their flesh. Well when I lifted it out of the acclimation bucket, it detached from its tube. According to advanced aquarists, this is no good.

I put the anemone in a 1 inch pvc pipe and buried the pipe in the sand, making sure to add some sand around the mouth.

Do y'all have any experience/tips for keeping this guy? @FeliciaLynn

Theyre really neat and beautiful but I had to sell my tube nem. Loved watching it eat.

Took up too much room in my tank. For anyone wondering,

Tube anemone vs Chalice

Tube anemone won sting for sting.

I never had mine drop their tube, but recommendation would definitely be to keep it in the PVC pipe with plenty of sand. Hopefully it can regrow its tube. Also, like everyone said, just keep feeding it so it has the energy to rebuild the tube. They're pretty easy once you get them settled. Just have to feed them since they're NPS and make sure they aren't in range to sting any of your other corals.
