So I have been batling high Nitrates in my tank, and even with weekly water changes my NO3 level never gets below 10ppm at best. I know that the main cause is that I tend to feed heavily in my tank, and I do have a high bio-load with the amount of fish in the tank. Because of this I started dosing VSV "Vodka Sugar Vinegar" in my tank about 3.5 week ago. I am following the basic instructions from this Article. I have also found a few other articles about this subject. However there is a lot less information about this method when comparing to just Vodka dosing.
My question is there anyone else here that is using this method or has used this method and has any personal experience to share on the subjuct? ie. Tank size, dosing about, NO3, PO4 levels before and after and how long you have or did dose, any problems you found or had because of it. Just your general expierence with using this method.
