Weird Jawfish Behavior?

So as you probably know I recently purchased a nice pair of pearly jawfish. I'm worried about one of them and the problem below will be confusing without the following information...

Jawfish A. - The one who originally made the hole that they both live in now.
Jawfish B. - The one that lived in the hole in the rock but then moved in with Jawfish A.

Here's the problem...
So when I put them in the tank Jawfish A. decided to make a hole when Jawfish B. decided to hide in a hole in a rock. The next day I fed them live brine shrimp which they both gladly accepted a large amount of. That night I fed them again and they, again, ate a lot. I left the room and came back about a minute and a half later and looked in Jawfish A's hole. I saw two faces. Jawfish B worked quickly and effectively on another tunnel breaking off from their main hole while Jawfish A did nothing but lounge around on his side of the hole. Jawfish B finished her side of the hole in about thirty minutes so I turned the lights off and they went to sleep facing each other. This morning when I woke up Jawfish A was gone. I found him a few minutes after the search started curled up in the back corner. I thought he had got kick out of the hole by Jawfish B and that they probably got into a fight during the night. When Jawfish A saw my shadow, he darted into a new hole which he must have built over night. The new hole connected to their other hole so now they had a main hole area (which is in the entrance right in the center), a left connection, a right connection, and a back connection. Jawfish A has been hiding in the back connection since I left this morning and still was in it when I got home. He still is in it right now. Jawfish B is perfectly fine, not harassing Jawfish A, working on their hole, and cleaning their hole. I fed them and my clowns a bit of live brine shrimp. At this both Jawfish A & Jawfish B darted out and hovered over their hole and ate every single brine shrimp that floated by. After eating they retreated to their hole. Jawfish A went to the back connection out of sight and Jawfish B worked on (and still currently is) making their main hole deeper. I'm worried about Jawfish B and why he isn't doing anything to help. He looks like a lifeless body just sitting in one spot not moving. Does one of the fish in a Jawfish pair normally do nothing and make the other do all the work or is something else happening? He looks identical to the other Jawfish (nothing is wrong with his gills, mouth, eyes, or body) and the only way I can tell the Jawfish apart is by their personality. Their personalities make a HUGE difference in telling them apart so I'm 100% positive which fish is which. Does anybody have any ideas what may be going on?

BTW, I forgot to mention that Jawfish A is EXTREMELY shy and scared of other fish (except Jawfish B) but this is the first time he's been this scared. Jawfish B is more brave since he stick his body half way out of the hole everyone in a while and is constantly taking a huge mouthful of sand and spitting it out the front or back of their holes to make the holes bigger.

Dude, I had my jawfish for about 6 month now and it dug holes under EVERY rock in my tank. That's what they do. They have a lot of personality and will dig dig dig. I think you need to give them time to settle in. But don't expect them to just sit in a hole, they will dig dig dig.

Haven't you only had them for a couple days now? I'd just give them some time to break in and adjust to their new ocean.

Ok then. I'll post an update on what they are doing every now and then. Right now Jawfish B is spitting sand at my clown fish which I find funny since the clowns swim away and come right back! :D

I think that's only if you have 2 males or are keeping a group. Since I have a male & a female they stay in the same hole and don't fight.

Jawfish A is starting to work on the hole but still likes to hide. BTW, a small area of sand they had dug out collapsed. Will this happen often? No damage was done to them or their main holes, but it was just a little area they had widened their hole at.

How did you sex them?

IDK, but If mine were two males they would be living in different holes and fighting. Since they are in the same hole and they aren't fighting I'm pretty sure I have a male and a female. Jawfish A is still acting scared and hiding a lot like he was earlier but is occasionally working on the hole . Jawfish B is acting the same as she used to. They made a new hole that can be used as an entrance/exit so now they have three ways to get in and out and poke their head out and catch food at feeding time. Jawfish A was in that same back corner of the tank this morning that he was in yesterday morning so I'm not sure if this is going to be a routine or not...

I thought about that earlier and I don't think that is the case. They are within body's distance of each other almost all day and if he wanted to hide I think he'd go to the other side of the tank. The last few hours he hasn't really been moving much. Just laying in that one spot but when I fed them he went and got a lot of food so I don't think he is dying. Do you guys have any idea what may be going on?

I found Jawfish A this morning in the same spot in the back corner of the tank. About 10 minutest after I found him he went into the hole in the rock that Jawfish B used to live in.

Like Zepplock said earlier... this is what they do... expect them to dig multiple holes all over the place and switch around often.
