I grew this out from a one quarter by one quarter inch frag of something.

Your a blurry pic?

I'd say porites or montipora :D

Polyps look just right for a porites.
They are also some of the only corals that regularly survive on LR.

Okay a few more - I am thinking porites as well.

It's a cool rainbow effect - the colors range from green to purple to magenta to blue

Now it looks like a Turbinaria :D How raised are those coralites? What scale are we looking at?

Yeah, I ticked it off when I moved it to get a better shot so all the polyps retracted.

The interesting thing is they were an ugly green with brown polyps in the 120g - of course the lights (which will be upgraded) seemed to contribute to the fugly color. I then placed this in my 58g under 250w Phoenix bulbs and the next thing I know it started changing into all kinds of different colors.

Cool I get to name it if I figure out what the heck it is first ;D

Here is the update on my mystery coral.

It still isn't the greatest picture, but I am very pleased with it. By the this coral was grown from a 1/4" x 1/4" size frag that was on live rock I picked up from someone.
