Vincent, I remember several of my friends owning B5 S4s and every one of them went a little nuts haha, unfortunately the 2.7T was one of the hardest motors to work on, how many times have you had the front bumper/radiator support off?
Although I'm not sure if you've seen this yet but the new thing to do with those is convert to VR6T, madness... Every now & then something tells me to look into the B6 S4 w/ the 4.2 but eventually I drift towards the 1.8t ultrasport, the older I'm getting the more I care about MPG haha...
I get what you mean about photography no longer being fun, been through it several times over the years, I've probably shot somewhere around 400 weddings but in recent years I've been doing more architectural/product photography work, and I get to have fun whenever I'm inspired to do something creative, this is the most recent photo I made w/ my SLR;
Oh about the brakes, I'll get back to you on that because Audi's mounting patern/offset on the caliper could be too far off for conversion but I'll research it when I get a chance. Currently I have TT 225 Rotors and calipers are from a passat (pistons are a couple mm bigger than original).
I'm a bit ashamed to admit but that Motobecane has not seen the road since last summer, I also have a TT frame I wanted to build, not sure where that goes. This year though I plan on running trails on my Rocky Mountain hard tail. I leave for work at 7AM and get home at 6PM, I figure a power ride through the trails by my house for 30 minutes a day should be sufficient exercise, getting back on the road with a bike after work is the last thing I'm inspired to do haha.
Charles, by the way R32's are relatively cheap these days, strap on a couple of turbos and you've a got a supercar eating golf haha, that's quite possibly a lot of fun for not a whole ton of money. I agree that house>911 anyday.
