What the what...is on my Blue Tang?

Bad pic, but it almost looks like small feather dusters near its tail? Is that even possible? My tank is full of these mini feather dusters.

I mean barnacles grow on the sides of whales... so I don't see why not.

To me that looks like a worm of some kind. Maybe try a freshwater dip?
