Whats this snail doing?

This snail has been spraying what looks to be eggs.... is it eggs? Should I be concerned? It looks like its snowing in my tank with what ever it is this snail is spraying out.

Yup, I see mine fireing off every once in a while. I have had the snails thriving at times, and others it seems like I have to add a few to get them started again. However I have never felt like I have had too many. Nothing to worry about. As John says.......great food!!

lol okay good! I was concerned because this little guy was spraying like no other! I hope he does it again when I have more fish and coral in the tank.

If it was eggs (which it looks like) then its a female... the male shoots a cloud of sperm!

So the females spray their eggs also? They dont stick them to rocks or glass of the tank?
