- Preliminary remark: I am shopping at LFS whenever possible, and intentionally do NOT buy anything online that they typically sell -
I have not bought anything from BRS for a long time, trying to avoid them unless they have something no one else has or at the best price.
Saltwateraquarium.com seemed to be a good alternative for a one-stop shop experience, and other smaller online vendors for specific items. However, I had recently ordered a cable from them, which they shipped incorrectly, and it was a nightmare to get someone to respond to my question, and I ended up ordering from somewhere else the correct item.
Therefore, I decided to add them to my no-shopping list (where Amazon is also on).
A great alternative to BRS or Saltwateraquarium.com is the following:

For the smaller online vendors/vendors with a narrower selection, I like the following:
topshelfaquatics.com
I ordered from them several times and never had an issue. All others had issues with shipping, cumbersome inventory searches, or items that did not interest me.
