Will UV Ultraviolet Light on RODI system raise water temp?

My inlet water is 58-60 degrees F so making rodi water is extremely slow in the winter on a 200gpd system more like 144gpd currently with those temps. 60 PSI at inlet via laundry hookup in garage..Gage reading 40psi after membranes on rodi.. 10 minutes makes one gallon with two gallons waste water going to large maple tree!
Usual suspects with only one Di filter at end of unit which I do plan to add two more Di down the road!
I was thinking switching the inlet to 3/8 with alot of extra coils in a 5g heated bucket of water when making water which would raise the temp a bit?
With a lower GPD unit colder water is more efficient if slower but not on a larger one…
So I thought maybe an UV on the rodi would maybe do the same as the bucket plus would give me some added sterilization on the Ro drinking side?
Boosters don’t raise water temps
Am I overthinking this lol ??
Do any you do anything for cold water?

UV will raise the temp as much as a heater of the same wattage would, for what it’s worth.

I’ve never worried about the inlet water temp affecting RODI water output. I don’t know if that’s because you are over-thinking it or I’m under-thinking it :) My guess is it won’t be worth the effort.
 
Not much power in a UV light and not enough dwell time to heat the water. Plus bulbs are expensive. I never heat my water, but I guess if one wanted to, I'd look into portable tankless or under sink water heaters.

Probably overthinking
Its just most all the Rodi systems base their numbers on 77 degrees which you loose 2-3% efficiency for every 1 degree lower.. So 60 degrees =36 % less efficiency making water
 
This is what alota people who mainly drink water add the their systems which heats the water a bit.. There are reefers who add as well Just to add more protection like they run on their displays

I think a booster pump will improve your efficiency by a ton. 90 psi vs. 60 is a big difference and I see way less waste water.

What's your inlet TDS?
Tds inlet is around 80
My canisters are rated for 80psi max is your booster adjustable?
 
Sort of, but that’s too hot
then I’m sure i can connect the hot line with the cold and have valve to control both to make them perfect where it’s not too hot or cold just in the middle at least around 75° the only problem with this it’s going to be a headache to get it perfect

That's why no one worries about temp, they just let it run longer.
 
I am curious to know whether it is possible to connect the water filter to the hot water supply in the house?
You can add a Three-way Thermostatic Mixing Valve that you set a maximum temperature which will temporarily cut the hot water if gets to hot..They come threaded or can use a copper crimping tool..There made to prevent people/kids/ seniors from getting scalded from sinks or showers also used in radiant flooring..Bidet use them to make sure you don’t scald you know what!
Amazon sells them for cheap just make sure their lead free!
You pay for what you get so Id source from a reputable plumbing supply store!
Thats ur best bet to maintain stable temps so you don’t cook ur RO membranes
Will add the booster then see if i need to go this route raising water temps if need so rodi is working 100% efficiency
