Willie’s Last Aquarium Build

Actually I was just going over the numbers this morning. Here’s my breakdown. Please keep in mind that they totally screwed up my order.
Initial order 1230
They didn’t router the edges 280 labor but they waved it and I had to go back again. Return the order and get a new order.
The measurements were off, but I didn’t realize it until assembly has started. Asked for a discount. They offered 100 off.
I messed up with 2 pieces. I ordered them from tap plastics. 150
Solvent and applicator 26
Total is 1026 approximately. Pre-tax. Tax was expensive in Hayward. 10.75%.

Also keep in mind. I have a lot of stuff that I didn’t could like buffer, polish, sandpaper, router, etc.

I’m retired. So time is my own. Normally hobbies are not calculated a hourly rate. Supposed to be fun.
It came out decent. Not as good as professional like advanced acrylics. I priced theirs out before I started. 4650 for the size that I built. That’s pre-tax wait time is 3-6 months.

Cell cast is the way to go! Wow can’t believe how light your tank is for the size although stairs mentally adds weight lol. Chart doesn’t include euro or overflow..Are you keeping the sumps in the garage?

I thought about it. I think I’m gonna put everything under the stand. I don’t have pumps that can push that much head pressure.

Frag holding tank is up and running. 55 has been decommissioned. Cryptic zone has been moved. Some photos for your viewing pleasure.

Transferred softies and LPS into the flat, moved a few fish from the frag tank to the flat and finally started taking the sps out of the DT. Placing them into the frag tank.
