Willie’s Last Aquarium Build

Looks great, is that lament flooring?

If so that's what I'm planning to try to put down in my living room. I Would appreciate a few tips if and when you have time.
Sure. Let me know when you’re ready. It’s called LVP flooring. It’s waterproof. Really easy to install. It’s snaps together like a Lego.

Well. Calling it finished for now. There’s still a few odds and ends left. I’m ready to move forward with the aquarium install over the next few months. Dunno if you guys want to see that or not.
Rolf has gifted me with Bennett’s aquarium. He is so generous. He’s really good to me. Here’s my question. Should I connect my 320 to Rolf’s 125 with a dual external sump. Meaning the sump is not under the stand. Or run them separately with each one independently. One is going to be a sps and stuff. The other is going to be angels and butterflies and whatever else corals that they don’t eat. Oops. Forgot the pictures. Plan to heat and cool the shed with the mini split running constantly.
Sick!! Love the grass!

A mini split above the tank is awesome. Seeing the condensation mine pulls from above the tank is wild. It went up to a gallon a day when using the dehumidifier feature.

I found when I had it on to heat the room (78 degrees set point) and I had the fins oscillating, it would cool my tank to 75 despite having hot air blown it's way. Useful for the summer when it'll need to be cooled, but kicks the heater on more in the winter unless I set the vent as fixed.

Interesting. I appreciate the feedback. This is my first time using a mini split like this. I’m hoping it’s efficient and effective.

Sometimes I think this hobby gets out of control. Anyways. I did a thing today.

For reference. My son is 5’9” 185 lbs. Crazy huh ? It’s huge in real life.

Man. I think I got some ADHD going on. Dunno if you guys know. But I’m not a coral guy. I’m a fish guy. Corals are just the background noise for me. I love love me some angels and butterflies. After a bunch of horse training between Rolf, Michael ( well they gave us aquariums ) Eric and I. I ended up with Michael’s Awesome 168. So you guys want to see a quick simple fowlr build ? Yeah ?
Here ya go.
Gotta chop and weld the stand to get it into the shed. While I’m at it. Do a little rust work. Normal for a steel stand.

Btw. That’s 40ml shower liner. Awesome !!! That’s how you do a drip tray. It’s glued in too.

wow! looks nice

Did you ever drill a hole for a drain pipe going to an external lift station/ bilge pump for skimmer or wastewater?
Plumb in an rodi & saltwater line from your mixing station? Should be a gravity all the way!

Not yet. I’m still working it out in my head. I’m lazy so I might just drain it into the dirt outside and see how that works.
The ro/di and saltwater in is easy. That’s just running lines.
