When did you guys feel it was official? Any good stories?

I knew I was a Reefer when I was in the shower one day and out of the corner of my eye, I saw something pink on the wall and my first unfiltered thought was, "oh good, I've got some coralline algae growing". It turned out to be nail polish my daughter was playing with and not coralline algae.
