Eric I’m so sorry to hear this. I had some trouble sleeping last night imagining what you are going through. Just so bummed for you :(

Do you know which ones were the culprits? Was it the Captain Jerks?

Devastation like this is why I will never own Zoas. They’re just not worth casually having palytoxin in our homes. :(
 
@Joseph Lee Captain Jerks are palythoas. Hence, paly toxin.

When handling palys, always wear gloves, googles and masks ideally... OR, wear gloves and work under water to prevent aerosol droplets.

Open wounds on hands are also prime for getting affected with paly toxins.

After watching Julian Sprung’s talk at Reefapalooza, I remind my wife about palytoxins right before I start fragging / moving Zoas in my tank. Just so she is aware just in case anything happens.
