On a side note, Argentinians are the only people in the world that do not receive phone calls, cards, e-mails and such from their parents on their birthdays.
They call, send cards, e-mail their parents to congratulate them for having such wonderful person as a son/daughter !!!
 
The World Cup has been awesome so far. I also got to see all the games that were played in Stanford in 94 as well as a semi and the final. Seeing a world cup live can not be compared to by anything and I'm hoping to attend Brazil 2014. Some one a few post back mentioned Maradona's mano de dios(hand of god) I think that has been put to rest since Tierre Henry's hand ball that put France in the WC and left Ireland out!!!!

I was actually that which I was referring to and not the one with Maradona. Many say that FIFA turned a blind eye to it as they wanted France in badly.

I believe espn30.com has a live stream. Yeah FIFA not replaying that game for Ireland was HORRIBLE!!!!! No worries Mexico will handle France and pass on with S. Africa and send France home to watch :bigsmile:

Shame on both UEFA and FIFA; issues like that one should have BIG consequences on the player or team.

No rule (yet) allows for a game to be replayed in its entirety; a partial game can be replayed due to some circumstances; I remember a league game that was played at a later date; the last 10 mins. or so but in the early 80's

98 World Cup was a battle of the brands too Adidas vs Nike
For 06 there was a battle too but between the two brands founded by brothers Rudolph and Adolph Dassler; the moment Puma signed Italia it was set to confront Germany (Adidas) at the final; did not work that way but hey France was wearing the 3 stripes, right? so kind of worked out.

US gets robbed!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Played terribly in the first half, scored three goals in the second half and tied 2-2. The 3rd goal was disallowed for some mysterious reason. Why?????
