This tank got a chip in one of the corners and I’d like to replace it before trouble ensues. Anyone have a 40 breeder sitting around they want to part with?
I have a taller 65 that has been looking for a home; peninsula...

Made some more toadstool frags with the preK kids yesterday. Always a fun activity!
I’ll bring some of these to the swap as long as I can make it

Any clue why? I think the old reef rite that’s been on there forever has probably dimmed is my only real guess. Think I’ll replace it with one of the newer AI blade ones
If/when you replace the light
It will be interesting to see if the frags behave differently
Please keep us posted

Crazy polyp extension, puts my biota weeping willow to shame.

This has reached the end of the line under my care.
The school has decided they want a teacher to take over the tank. They have no reefing experience, but watched me clean it twice. Good luck to the animals. These clowns came from former president david @lattehiatus in 2012 I believe. Still swimming and laying eggs all the time. It’s sad for me to know they won’t be getting the same level of care they have been used to.
I was told they plan on buying water from the dreaded 6th ave store. I strongly told them do not do that. I can only hope they will listen. I would use tap water and mix salt myself before trusting their water or supporting their store. Sigh. So much to learn in this hobby. They have no idea what they are in for.
To be honest this tank is simple as heck and runs great with a weekly 5 gal water change, auto top off, pellet feeder, and nothing else.

If the teacher wants to join here to learn, we could definitely sponsor a membership

I hear you will be getting a phone call in 6-8 months. Unfortunately at that time the aquarium will need a revamp. Let me know if you need help then.
