BTW, on the GHA front... fluconazole works like a charm. I like the blue Rx version on Amazon.

I dont know what is going on. Just like my biocube did this guy has some MAJOR gha going on. Since I did the manual removal and added a uv sterilizer to the biocube that guy has been gha free. Maybe I need to do the same to this tank.

Live rock from a friends system they were taking down. Live sand from a wet bag. I'll test nitrates and phosphates tonight. I'm running the xr30 at 40% for 10 hours a day. I have the whites turned almost to 0% red and green around 5%

I could be wrong, but 40% is probably a lot of light, and 10 hours could be trimmed down for now to help reduce algae. I also am not a fan of red...

that color from your photo doesn't look like white is at 0% are you sure it isnt the othe way around? because this looks more like white at 100%

I turned the whites up for the pic. I wanted to green to show through.

I have the Hanna ULR phosphorus tester, the Hanna salinity and everything else is Salifert.
