New display at HTA

Well I’ve got a tank coming today. Yesterday I started some demo, going in early today to finish the rest. Hopefully by the end of the week the tank will be up and running. I will post progress!

Awesome, following along. Looks like it’ll be where the wall with dry goods was right around to the right as you walk in to the main back room, behind the register area.

It would be so cool if you could have a peninsula type tank there where you can see through from front of store behind the register into the back room.

Got the tank filled with tap water and finger and got it all cleaned out. More construction process tomorrow

Progress on the wall, “smacked it, flipped it up and reversed it”-Missy Eliot voice, lol. But got the wall cut off and recessed to put the back of the tank flush against the wall. (Was a pain in the ass!!!) Finish up the wall a little and start on the deck that the stand and tank are going on to get the right height to cut the whole in the wall, will have 55’ inch of viewing space from the front through the wall, then the main display side which is 7ft in the coral room. Building a deck with a step around it for working in the tank, staining it and all that good stuff!

So yesterday was a big day, got the deck built!!! Today will be cutting the hole in the wall, painting the backside of the wall and staining the deck!
