The world works in mysterious ways.

She found her way back to me from @The_Lazy_Reefer.

Cabinet was wood stain, painted it white using alkyd paint. Two coatings. Should have done three.

Water test. Filled tank - 16 minutes. Thrilled to report no leak. Didn't change any plumbings.

Maybe I'll stick with her for more than a year. I'm a tank hoe.

Just set up the IM50g a few weeks ago. She'll go down soon. Like all my other tanks. They love going down.

I like the over sized stand gives plenty of Space to work on stuff.

Man if that's true, I'm going back to the 300. Fingers crossed.
I've adjusted my lights to peak during my high solar hours and precool my house during that time as well on hot days. Also what temp are you keeping your tanks?

I know @Alexander1312 can attest too that in Europe they've shifted towards lower wattage pumps to save even more.

One of the biggest challenges the hobby faces there are high energy cost, so folks are super sensitive to energy consumption of their devices (which is why Tunze and their low wattage pumps are so popular).

Yesterday fed brine shrimp from hatchery. Today two dead fish.
Do you think feeding brine shrimp from hatchery caused these 2 deaths? I read some posts on R2R that Anthias dying with its mouth open usually indicates acute respiratory distress, often caused by low oxygen levels, high ammonia/nitrite, or parasitic infections in the gills. Not saying one of these are the actual reasons, but something you may want to check

Came home from 6 days vacation

5g ato is empty but sump water level is normal.

Peppermint shrimp dried up on floor left side of tank

Found tomini sushi on the return nozzle.

So sorry to hear this, Max.. If I were you, knowing myself, I would have gone crazy with all these deaths in the tank (tomini being the latest victim).. I guess you also had some deaths in your larger tank.. diseases? oxygen? over-feeding / ammonia? starvation? poisoned food? bullying? there has to be a reason - these little creatures wouldn't and shouldn't die for no reason! And not in an experienced reefer's tank like yours! Posting casualties in public forums takes courage, and I honestly respect you for doing that.. I just genuinely care about understanding what's going on with the tank and how you are thinking to correct that
