Cali Kid Corals

Hello! Just moved from Toronto to SF

6-7inch white paddle tail swimbaits on jig head slow rolling on bottom, stick bait, jerk baits, silver spoons with squid hoochie cut to size, Frozen anchovies or sardines. Really depends on what going on different rigs for different areas, tides, depths, sandy beach or rocky bottom, weather etc. Some areas are hold fish on the outgoing tides other spots incoming or both.. Ive caught halibut in two feet of water to 60+. I use all types of gear spinning, bait casting, level wind or fly fishing just depends. When I fish freshwater its mostly fly fishing up in northern Ca and Oregon but occasionally Wyoming or Utah drifting rivers. Although Nevada has some nice lakes like Pyramid. Halibut do prefer sandy bottoms mostly. Sometimes you can find schools concentrated areas with alota fish and limit out easily otherwise your covering ground on the move to locate fish
Now I'm franticly googling all those fishing terms haha. I like fishing a lot, but I'm not a good fisherman :)

And water is in! I'm pretty proud of the scape here if I may say so myself. Lots of surface area, and lots of fish habitat, but there's nowhere that cant be seen by walking around the tank, and most importantly, from the top down there's no shadows over the entire thing, so all top surfaces are good for corals.

Also, as I do the move: If anyone has any old lights or powerheads they're looking to offload, I'd love some to get this thing working before I ship the fish and corals, and then I can put my gear from Canada on once I ship it over after.

I’ve got lots of stuff in sf if you need things
Yes, I'd love that! Really I just need a powerhead and lights for now. I've got a couple of AI primes and a nero 3 up in canada, but I need the transfer to be complete before I tear down that tank. I can get away without a skimmer or anything fancy for a bit while I get setup.

Next BAR talk, how to catch the fish yourself by @PjFish

One thought I had on the NSA style is that it might not give fish enough hides to come out and feel comfortable. To help with that you could add some fist sized rocks in a pretty pile or two to give the fish a place to hide when they want it. One of the things I like about my scapes is that you can barely see any fish at night when they want to hide, but during the day they are out and swimming.

Great start and welcome to BAR and the Bay.
