Well... That was a fail on my part. I had been listening to a bunch of podcasts that said reef crystals was cheaper and works well. I assumed because it was cheaper and everyone was using it successfully that it didn't have crazy high numbers. Thanks for bringing that to my attention!

Thanks! I really appreciate the feedback. I switched salts, going with reef crystals for now. 30g water change this week. I will take a sample and test salinity to see if the reading changes. I will look into getting a hydrometer like you suggested.

Gravity I put it on a rock to get it away from the yellow damsel that kept burying it with sand. One of the two shells it was attached to started falling off the rock. So in essence it was ripped apart . But it's pretty much healed now in 6 different parts.
