I have always had success with a large 50cc syringe. Make the slurry as thick as possible but still flow out. Never had an issue with a ph spike. But never used it on anything smaller than a 100g system

I have a small clam on a rock that I’d like to move to another location in the tank. I can’t move the rock. It’s being shaded by other coral. Any tips on getting it to release from the rock? I don’t want to injury it. Worst case I trim back the corals near it. Thanks

Well, I stopped being lazy and pulled out the wave box and pump. Impeller seemed to be frozen. A closer look revealed a tiny snail lodged in between the impeller and housing. I removed it and the pump fired right up! Guess I’ll be firing this back up and save myself $400
