Another follow up question. I am liking the Avast feeder. What foods have you used beyond their reef jerky?? Any pellets? Flake food? Other freeze dried foods? Some of you mentioned mixing different densities does not work to well? Just wondering what has worked in the past and what my options...

I think I figured it out. Looks like I have the old version of the Avast set up. I went to the Avast site, and saw the Plank 3.6 Mixing Pump Upgrade. This does not look llike what is at the end of my pump. Mine has the lite colored adjustment nob (I'm color blind, looks like a grey/tan to me)...

Would it make sense to turn the feeder on, let the food drop and soak for 10-20 minutes, and then have the pump turn on to avoid food that is not fully hydrated? From you description I can't tell which version I have, but it sound like it might be the updated version. The cord for the pump goes...
