Well, I was able to catch the male. Fortunately or unfortunately he did spit out quite a few little fry. I don’t know if being released early will be an issue or not. I figure the goal is to keep them safe so I suspect they will be ok. Guess we’ll see. Still have a lot to learn about this...

Quick update. Still have 9 growing strong. And based on the dates we need to isolate the male tomorrow in anticipation of him releasing the fry again in the next 3-5 days. Plan is to separate him from the female for at least a month to let him recover.

I know a few years ago saw some posts online about using muscles as part of their filtration. Just wondering if anyone has any experience. I don’t think it gained much traction. Just curious. Gerry
