    Randy’s Flock o' Reef Tanks

Fish are in there, but surprising after having them for years, they're mostly just shy (except the hawkfish). They're all 5-8 years old that came over when I swapped out the Red Sea 250. Tomini - 6 years Flame Angel - 8 years Mandarin Goby - 7 years Flame Hawkfish - 5 years Leopard Wrasse - 8...

    Randy’s Flock o' Reef Tanks

Had a buddy ask me last night how my IM75 was looking and was forced to clean it up because it was looking a little ragged. Plus, it's been over six months I think since the last update, so.... Mostly, the tank has been doing well, but I had a pretty big loss for me a couple months back. That...

    DBTC: Red Dragon

I guess maybe a different kind of flow or maybe he has much more flow than you imagine. Just for those looking for more on the topic. There are papers that indicate it's not just high flow, but also more turbulent flow...

    DBTC: Red Dragon

Flow is likely a big factor in colony density. Higher flow will allow more waste to be pushed away from the coral and also allow more nutrients and oxygen to be provided to the colony when it grows densely.

Ecotech Versa dosing pump - potentially failing soon?

This is what Ecotech uses for Versas and Vortechs. A tube is expensive, but will last you a long, long time. You can start with just lubricating the rollers, but if that doesn't work, then you can consider taking it apart. https://a.co/d/0yq7dW3

Hanna ULR Phosphate Test Reagent - Toxicity

I shared a video I made a couple years back that shows exactly this as well as Hanna's video. I like to crease the package before pouring as it seems to me to help control the powder better as you pour it into the cuvette. Obviously, I'm careless with the PPE. Don't follow my example on that...

    DBTC: Big R WD

Gawd really? That what this discussion is going to amount to? My blah blah is bigger than your blah blah. No thanks. Edit: and the sad part is, this kind of post from you kind of proves what irked people about the intial thread and list of rules.

@Turkeysammich How long do you think a BigR Walt Disney has been around?

    DBTC: Big R WD

Walt disney frags do not cost $400.

    DBTC: Big R WD

Alive for who? If the criteria is so selective that it only involves a few people and frags to be given out has no where else to go, what's the real point of having this a DBTC for BAR?

    DBTC: Big R WD

And then your DBTC will die there. So what's the point? It's definitely not with the motto of the club.

    DBTC: Big R WD

Look, I'm happy to see people share corals through DBTC and appreciate people going out of their way to do so, but when rules are so strict that something like 2 people are going to be able to be "approved," what really is the point?

    DBTC: Big R WD

You'll have drama if you make drama. Ever wonder why it's always the same people that get caught up in shit like this? If that was the feeling that was portrayed by the DBTC rules stated, I don't think there would be an issue @Coral reefer. If that was the intention, it most certainly did not...

    DBTC: CC 21 Tails Torch

Been a while since the last update. The CC 21 tails has been doing good and chugging along. It's up to 5-6 heads, but all the flesh bands are still connected together. Once they separate, hopefully soon, I'll get some frags out. I still got the barber shop spirals going on. The Barber Shop...
