RODI Pressure Booster Pump?

Ohhh that was a dumb question. I thought it was always just on and it would turn “on” once it sensed pressure of water being made. Didn’t realize you had to turn it off/on when making water
Some have pressure switches that turn them off and on. The one I have, I have never gotten the pressure switch to do anything.

My auto shut off only works if I’m making water near my RODI. If I try running my tubing to my room it won’t turn off, I think because it travels a long distance so never builds up enough pressure

If you have a garage near your kitchen and noise becomes an issue, maybe you can keep the booster pump in the garage and have a couple 1/4” RO lines run through the wall. Just as an alternative suggestion if you find it too loud. As mentioned before, it’s the vibration that makes it noisy. The booster pump itself is pretty silent.

Theres a tone of anti vibration pads out their made of rubber/cork or combination of both which if you mount between the pump and mounting surface will make a big difference..Can suspend/hang the pump a touch off the ground with bungee cord/ zip ties also will work..put it in a small box with vent holes on top of a foam pad ..Alota ways to make it quite

Yes, it's great, there are others, but not significantly cheaper. Keeps me at 60--65 psi at my membrane.

Whats the pressure at the source? And temp?
Mines 62ish at the source and at gage on rodi is 42 at membrane..Considering running 3/8 from the source which will help a bit or get a booster to 75psi since my housings are 80 psi max with an Air Water Ice 200 gpd rodi ( two-100g membranes. I do want to add two more di so probably need a booster
SpectraPures max out at 80
Brs clear is 90 max or solid color is 100 psi max.
Not sure if anyone has had any issues going beyond the rated max housing pressure?
