Ive been there a few times. Small detail I like seeing is small colony’s of corals you can recognize in there huge like big fish display tanks. On the very bottom.
I have red bush in my reactor. I just gave a lot of it out. Probably have more to give like in 3 weeks. Plus I’m not sure how well they will adapt to blue light of a display tank after being in my reactor with hydroponic spectrum. I’ll have to try.
@popper super generous, I’ll keep that in mind as everything gets to 100% again in my tank.
As for the chaeto reactor, it works nicely. I ended up (ithink) shocking the chaeto with garage tank water (ice cold) after a couple months and it died out. I got in on a group buy and now I’m growing...
Update on my tank:
Had a horrible salinity swing due to not having calibrated my refractometer. Reminder to calibrate that every once in a while…
I also recently upped the intensity on my lighting so I thought that attributed some of the corals closing up.
Lost all Xenia and clove polyps...

Hello, I’d be interested in the phosphate Hannah checker and/or nitrate/phosphate salifert test kits. If still available. Only thing I have to give would be less then dime size yellow/orange yumas :(.. kinda promised my cousin most of my extra frags when his 55gal gets rolling.
That was exactly what I was trying to say. You do the best you can with the life you have before you. The health of your animals is better then some who have money and just don’t. I think I recall a member on here who posted the mistreatment of a yellow tang that was skin and bones. He takes...
Lmao! This builds title stays true to what’ in the budgets tank builds going on here! First off I want to say concerns members bring forth are for sure something you should look into. But most important to myself is the success in your tank !! I see frags, colonies even!!! Thriving in your...
Id go with the carnivorous worm theory (bob or bris). I seen the inappropriate reefer catch a large one that was potentially eating his fish on one of his vlogs.
I know this is going to be a huge discussion. Just to put in my 2 cents. My fish seem excited when there’s less flow because they know I am about to feed because I turn return pumps off and put the wave makes on “feed” so it’s easier for the fish to eat/ food doesn’t waste into the filter...
