    Monzer's tank restart

Apatite was decent. No, not tearing the nori off, but it was getting some and forging around. Same with the other tangs.

    Monzer's tank restart

This could be the case. Though, I don't have a blue devil damsel, but I did get some blue Chromis fish. As of now, I have a clown tang, a yellow tang, a blond naso tang, chromis, and a yellow head gobi.

    Monzer's tank restart

No. The dying started before adding the nem. As far as the water, not that I am aware of. To your point it could be a disease of some sort.

Yeah, these guys are awesome. Great prices. I've ordered from them many times before. Anything over $39 ships free.

    Monzer's tank restart

Not before this ordeal started. I added a nem two weekends ago and a couple of frags from folks this past weekend. I dip all my corals and acclimate.... but to your point, this could just be a slow death for most of them.

    Monzer's tank restart

Found my powder blue dead this morning. I don't see any scars/wounds. I'm just speechless. On top of this, I am leaving on a trip tonight for a week. Will see what's left when I get back. When I get back, I am going to start setting up another smaller tank. Take all the fish out. Almost...

    Monzer's tank restart

No big changes. Same schedule for the past couple of years. Two months ago I got the plank and been using it to feed the same food/pellets, but also mixed plankton with it. The fish devour it. Of course I also add nori for the tangs and other herbivores.

Filter roller - what's your take?

I don't disagree with you. But I do need a solution for all the detritus/debris in my tank. Filter socks are a pain. Curious to know more about why you think it's unnecessary?

Filter roller - what's your take?

Reducing the flow rate is not ideal for this size of a system.

Filter roller - what's your take?

    That's an understatement. :p

    Monzer's tank restart

i didn’t take too many pics of the fish as it was kind bare. I did do an ICP test and it came back last Friday. Nothing I didn’t already know. Higher phosphates. No heavy metals indicated in the report. See images below. As far as the string poop, I have not seen any stringy poop to be honest.

Filter roller - what's your take?

So I pinged Red Sea about plumbing and how I could fit the reef mat and this is their answer Their suggestion is to get two 1200.

    Monzer's tank restart

Found my juvenile angle dead today. No visible scars/wounds. I am just baffled at this point. I've never had 5 fish die in a span of two weeks.

I can help Sunday December 1st in San Jose if you can wait that long as I will be traveling from through December 30.

Filter roller - what's your take?

yes. Two drains and one emergency drain. Also, my drains are 1.5" I'll have to significantly reduce/restrict the flow which may not be ideal for this size of a tank. Yeah. I think two small ones would probably be best. But that's gonna be pricy. I sent an email to Red Sea. Let's see what...

Filter roller - what's your take?

My total volume is around 350. Do you then have both drains go through the filter roller or one?

Filter roller - what's your take?

My motivation to get one is to get rid of the detritus/debris in my tank. But my issue currently is, I have custom filter sock chamber, and I'm just not sure how it will fit. Unless I Dremel the area, but I'm not too crazy about the idea. Unless there is a hang on version.
