Yeah, just don’t think it’s worth it.

Saw this article. Just can’t imagine spending that much for a chromis. https://reefbuilders.com/2024/01/17/3000-moonstone-chromis-arrives-in-the-us-from-the-deep-waters-of-japan/

Sorry to hear about your tank. Hopefully, they all find a new home.

SupraSaltyReefer - ELOS 120XL and then some

And a siphon breaker? That would allow me to use my full reservoir. Damnit. Haha. How does the siphon break work?

SupraSaltyReefer - ELOS 120XL and then some

Damnit. Now I might need to upgrade. Any idea on the lifespan of the pump and how easy it is to replace? I like being able to monitor it on the App and I already have a reef wave and reef dose. I agree. I wish they would come out with their own controller or something similar because outlets are...

SupraSaltyReefer - ELOS 120XL and then some

Hey Tu, What kind of redundancy does it have to avoid overfilling the tank. The tunze has the optical sensor, float valve, and you can open it up and adjust how long it pumps before it cuts out. Does this one have anything similar? G

    Gerry’s Waterbox 180.5

Thanks for the suggestions. And thanks for the offer to help. Really appreciate all the advice. Total fish at that time: one trigger, two tangs, 4 bimac anthias, one wrasse, two fire fish, on swallowtail angel in a 180g tank. When I say kid, he is about 20 years old. Guess that means I am...

    Gerry’s Waterbox 180.5

By the way the pink goni I am going to call it "Gerry's 'You can't kill me'" goni. This thing has been through the ringer. I thought it was going to die several times and yet it keeps on growing. I got it from another BAR member maybe 2-3 years ago. It was not doing well in his tank. Probably...

    Gerry’s Waterbox 180.5

Well, Time for another update. All I can say is that I have been through the ringer with fish and this tank. I hope I don't jinx it but everything seems to have settled down. Over the course of a few months I had gradually stocked the tank with various fish from a QT vendor. I had added various...

Algae scraper - 15 mm glass - Recommendations

I don’t like strong magnets. Got a scratch on my tank because of one. I think a weaker magnet allows anything caught underneath to fall out more easily. With that being said I like my flipper with the double blades.

    Does anyone keep snakes?

Snakes are easy. But they are more like a decoration than an interactive pet. Not very active pets. I will give you the same advice I have given all my friends. Get a pet because you want it. Invariably your kid will lose interest then it becomes your snake to take care of and they can live a...

    Anthias recommendation?

Hello, My son really would like to add a group of anthias to our tank. I have been doing a lot of research to find out which would be the most likely to be successful. I wanted to see what you guys thought or what your experiences/success have been like. Plan is to put them through QT first...
