Shrooms are so finiky. Mine split a bunch, I had tons of them, then they just bleached out and disappeared.

    EMERGENCY: HEATER MALFUNCTION (PLEASE HELP)

I agree with letting it come down on its own, but if you ever do need to ice down a tank, put ice in a ziplock bag.

Dry Rock Reef - 11 months in

It's funny though, pest prevention is why I went with dry rock and sand... IMO pest potential is extra high getting rock from another reefer.... Maybe not crab/ shrimp pest, though I doubt those are coming in on sand.

Inkbird ITC-306a - Continuous Heating Settings

It looks like you are using it correctly. The cycling shouldn't really damage the temp controller, though electronics on and off certainly can do weird things. I would think the temp controller might have failed regardless. You can get the ITC-308 instead of the 306a. It doesn't have the run...

Dry Rock Reef - 11 months in

I'm having a similar issue. Started with dry rock and sand. Ran it a few months with a couple fish. added a few lps corals. Those looked good after a few months so I added a few easy sps. Had a fight with dino which made sps corals look bad, beat that, and sps corals started to color back up...

Favorite tools for inside the tank?

I actually have used the one @Prestondeeply linked, it is small so it gets in small places well, but also clogs easily. I went back through my Amazon orders, and the one in the picture isn't on Amazon anymore. But yes, it's just a detailing vacuum attachment. For reference it's attached to a...

Favorite tools for inside the tank?

This vacuum brush attachment attached to siphon hose. Great for cleaning rock, and knocking things like cyano loose.
