Yes, thanks again. All water parameters stable. Put lights into acclimation mode for first week so none of the pieces introduced last Sunday will freak out. All is well so far. Birds nest you gave me is awesome!

Update: Sad to report my frag didn't make it. I was away on vacation, sump sock saturated, sump overflowed, lost some water and water parameters swug pretty wide... alas it was too much for the little guy. Getting things back under control then going to take another crack at it.

Oops sorry I meant .5 (point 5) not .05. I am using the Nyos chem checker and its not as dark as the 1ppm but its not totally clear also so I'm calling it a .5. Sorry for the confusion.

With a refractometer which I regularly check with calibration fluid. As Omar suggested, I may spring for a complete water analysis externally to see how accurate my measurements are. Hopefully stuff is not too far off or I will have to kick myself in the @$$ for chasing ghosts.

My theory on my salinity is that since my filtration system is outside (in the cold) I see a pretty high rate of evaporation due to temperature differential and cold, dry winter air. I think the ATO water is diluting my salinity. I was going to bump that up tonight, also.

I have not but was thinking that would be a logical next step to test the accuracy of my measurement tools.
