It does rotate freely which is what puzzles me. I had trimmed the mesh on the wheel but that didn't help. Im hoping it's not the pump unit. I supposed I could try a new impeller and see if that solves the problem.

I've got an ATB skimmer with Eheim 1250 and it's worked great for 5 years or so, however over the past year or so it's hard to get it to turn on and now it's to the point where I can't even get it to turn on anymore. I can tell the pump unit vibrates when it's powered on, but no impeller...

Excellent talk! He could've gone on for hours, love his enthusiasm. I found it very interesting to see how the business model works (or doesn't) with the costs & required 'pieces' to break even. Not an easy business to say the least.

i've used 2 MP40s for 4 years or so. flow is great, enough to blow fine sand around in a 180. my 2 complaints are I've had to send them back for service several times, although service is really good. And my main complaint is the noise- if you run a quiet tank it will be the loudest thing you...

I saw this yesterday and it has a very impressive demo mode that cycles through the 5 or so preprogrammed color temps. Green, blue, red, etc....you can have whatever color you want. I would say it's not *that* bright to the human eye, I'd consider adding maybe Reefbrite strip along with it...

Looking nice. How far did the 10 lb. Emaco last you? I might have to get some from White cap. With the large amount of rocks you have, you you could make several different structures & types of pillars so they could be swapped out depending on the look & style your customer prefers. maybe...

I'd like to do a backwall of rock and have seen some info on youtube & other sites about using black pondfoam, eggcrate, cables ties & 2 part epoxy from a hobby shop. I have a 10 lb. bucket of Emaco from Marco rocks but I don't think it'll go very for when used for a wall. Has anyone tried...

nice job with the rock structures. where do you get the emaco? I've got some black pond foam & mortar but by the looks the emaco stuff works out real well.
