what dosing pump do you use and why?

I use a liter meter 3. I like that it's easy to set to a precise flow rate and is very reliable.

trying to make a custom sump, but i need advices.

If you do have baffles coming down, put them on the outside of the ones coming up, rather than the inside as you have it now. That way sand in the middle section can't clog the gap between the two baffles.

    Curing Freshwater Ich

If the plants (all I have is some green carpet moss right now) can't tolerate the salt, I can totally move the fish to a QT tank no problem. How long would you recommend I treat them? Thanks, guys!

    Curing Freshwater Ich

I recently convert my little 10 gallon to freshwater. It just has a few plants and some guppies in it. Unfortunately, the guppies have ich. I know it's a different organism than the saltwater kind... does anyone have recommendations on how to treat for it?

    The "Real" price of salt

That makes sense. It's probably also why you need a smaller volume of it to make up a given amount of saltwater vs other mixes.

    The "Real" price of salt

Another thing about Salinity... the stuff really heats up when it hits water. I'm guessing maybe it contains anhydrous calcium chloride or something? That can be good if the water you're mixing it into is cold and you want to raise it's temperature. It can be not so good if you get it on your...

    where is the SEARCH thing?

Tony is, as usual, correct. Our hosting provider helped us with some other stuff that should improve performance. To me at least, it seems way faster today. This may mean that we can re-enable search but I want to gather some data for a couple days first.

    opinions on calcium reactors please

I don't have recommendations about specific brands but I way prefer a calcium reactor over two part. With my calcium reactor, calcium never drifts relative to alkalinity and I can go a long long time without so much as touching it.

    Search Disabled

The website has occasionally been extremely slow lately. I think the search module may be the primary culprit so I've disabled it for now. I'll see how that goes and then either re-enable it or install a different search engine. I apologize for the inconvenience. If you really need to find...

We're using the BUEditor and Smileys modules, along with a couple dozen others. Chat I hacked to fill in the user name. It's definitely better to email or PM me about stuff like this. I'm working a lot of hours lately and I don't have time to read the forums consistently right now.

Ca, MG, Alk and coraline algae

Vlad, are you dosing two part? How much? As long as you have a Ca reactor or are dosing two part regularly it should be easy to keep up with the coraline.

Will resume normal operaion shortly. Please contact support team

It would probably be easier to dump the sql to a file and restore it on the new host than to use some sort of import/export module.
