    Lance Ichinotsubo Talk February 9th

For those who missed Lance's talk, I can tell you that you missed out. Lance knows the subject of parasitic treatment in & out. He delivered a lot of information and answered a good number of questions. I could see everyone in the room fully engaged. I personally don't keep many fish but I know...

    aqua-nut's 120 - getting back to salt!

My setup, which I should document here someplace, has two 40 gal tanks tied via three 1" bulkheads. In my previous reefer life, I had 2 smaller tanks tied via two 1" bulkheads. I can say that 3 works way better for flow, but maybe two 1.5" bulkheads will work just as well. BTW, in both...

Looks like I can make it. A bit late for me to be cooking anything. Mind if I bring some chicken wings from Wing Stop?

    Denzil's 40B with 20L Sump-Fuge

I'd build some sort of platform to hold the 5.5g container. Just make sure that is easily removable in the event that you need to do something different in the future.

    Denzil's 40B with 20L Sump-Fuge

Suggestions: You can add a 2x4 to the top and bottom sections to lay the plywood on. That way you only have an 18" span that is unsupported. I think the 2x4s will do the trick. If you want to add some extra strength, switch to 2x6 for the 4 vertical members. Julio

    Free to good home

Justin, That's kind of you to offer your livestock for free. I did likewise when I exited the hobby 12 years ago. I'm now back and have a thriving tank. Hopefully you'll do likewise in the future. Good luck, Julio

Mike, In case you haven't seen it , check out: http://reefkeeping.com/joomla/index.php/current-issue/article/116-vinegar-dosing-methodology-for-the-marine-aquarium. At the bottom there is a link from an old article from Craig Bingman that talks about amounts to add. Maybe you can make an...

Mike, All my top-off is Kalk (no Vinager) and I dose a 2 part Calcium solution. I can't get my Ph to fall below 8.3 but it is pretty stable there. Julio

    Links for Meetings stale

No biggie. On the day of the swap, I figured it might be in the same location as I saw the blue awning. I just wanted to give you guys the heads-up. Having a link to the latest/current events page should solve the issue BAYMAC raised. You guys are doing a great job. Thanks! Julio

    LED Lightning

Thanks for the clarification. When I looked at the time, it seemed like a lot of work and what you ended up with was something similar to the Chinese LED lights. The ones I got work very well (other than no dimming). That's not to say that I can't hack them later on and add it (in my...
