Tanks Alk consumption has increased 30% over the last 15 days

Per hour? You meant per minute right?

Tanks Alk consumption has increased 30% over the last 15 days

It doesn't need to be under the tank or near the tank. You can place it next to it or in a remote location and run tubing to and from the reactor. RO tubing isn't hard to hide.

    Celebrating Pride

This is my all time favorite rainbow Acan that I grew out from a single polyp frag (colony sits on a 4" round in the 2nd pic). Still on the lookout for something similar to this.

    2021 BAR Apparel

Nice job on kicking this off. I really dig the clean fronts of the black shirts, but not digging the back with the branding. I know it's a marketing and club preference, but I would really like to see a simple piece of apparel with just the clownfish in the chest pocket area of the front with...

Tanks Alk consumption has increased 30% over the last 15 days

Yes, of the ESV-B Ionic. It's conceivable that the amount of 2-part seems high but it might actually be what your tank is using. I remember talking to Alan when he had a 12" squamosa in his 100 gallon cube with no hard corals and he was dosing 400 mL/day just to keep up with it. With roughly...

What's the alk level of your solution? Wonder if you've ever measure it before.

    Waterbox Cube 20G

Will do but it might not happen for a long time, if ever, since he's never cut it before and originally it was supposed to be a trade against another deepwater ric that never panned out. It's interesting to see it in the tank in comparison with the other two ricordeas that I have, one florida...

    Waterbox Cube 20G

From a buddy of mine down in SoCal. First time that he's cut his mother, which is pretty old (3-4 years old). 2 frags were cut from the massive mother (somewhere in the 3.5" range diameter). This one was shipped to me and the other was sold in SoCal.

    Waterbox Cube 20G

Deepwater Ricordea Under daylights right before dipping. Currently sitting right below a ledge where it's shaded. Colors are pretty insane with that highlighter look. Daylights. No blues needed. Shot through the glass versus overhead.

    Return flow question.

I usually leave it for ~20 minutes and haven't seen any issues with it either

    Return flow question.

Yes you can. Just make sure there's flow in your tank while it's offline. As an aside, not sure why you'd want a check valve on your return line. They're worthless imo and you're better off without one. They're not something that you set up and forget since they need to be monitored, cleaned...

    New product reveal!

Oh, I forgot to mention that another fixture was mounted over the 4' tank which near the door (forgot which Red Sea model it was). The light was mounted via the hanging kit, ~1" lower than the Kessils which were over it. It was a preproduction light which wasn't able to connect to Vincent's...

The 8.5" distance is what it was at when they mounted it on the Radion mounting arm.

The spotted scat is another species that can also be acclimated over to SW as well.

    New product reveal!

There's also a photo mode, which is a bit more yellow, but I prefer the look of the Neptune SKY program, that Neptune came up with. Picture shot above was shot in that mode. Vincent also cycled through the different programs, including Phoenix 14k, Coral Lab AB+, but my preference and theirs...

    New product reveal!

In that pic, using the Neptune SKY program, it showed a PAR value of 963 right below the surface. Turning it down to 49%, SKY program, ~460-480 where that pink tabler is at. Sandbed reading of ~200 to 150. 150 in the back left corner, which pulled the lowest reading. Scoly in the corner was...

Just a heads up guys...Great sale at Fraghousecorals.com

Yes, for most places, but not always. Battlecorals and Copps are a couple of the exceptions that I can think of. Other than BC, Copps doesn't sell corals much or in limited supply, but they do tend to shoot their pictures under whiter lights versus tweaking their lights for "photo mode". I have...

Just a heads up guys...Great sale at Fraghousecorals.com

Decent prices. Just be aware that the photos are taken under blue lights with a filter so it's best to take a look at what the mother colonies look like in others' pictures.

    Fresh Food Feeder Workshop?

Interested in checking this out since it looks much more simplistic and cleaner in application than the ones that I've seen. Should be possible with just about any dosing pumps and isn't exclusive to GHL looking at the diagram.
