    Copperband butterfly fish successfully bred

Nice reading through the account of how they were able to accomplish it.

    Waterbox Cube 20G

This! Outcompetes nuisance algae since I'm a heavy feeder (dumped 3 cubes in yesterday). No frozen today, but still ended up dumping in 12 spoons (the tiny ones used for Salifert test kits) of NLS small fish pellets throughout the day.

Nope, that's the gist of it - 3:1. My target parameters for this tank is Alk 7.5-8, Ca 400-420, and Mg at 1350-1400. The Mg is higher than the 3x, but I've always ran and prefer to run it higher than 3:1. The alk is higher than I prefer, but the tank has been settling in at around those values...

    Mike's RS 425XL Build (July, 05/2019)

WWC definitely didn't ship you a PL, but a milli instead. Looks like they shipped you a rouge milli of some sort.

    Waterbox Cube 20G

Picked up the Trident not too long ago and have been tracking the parameters in the tank. They looked okay, other than Mg, which was low. I've been using some leftover b-ionic to raise it over the past few days. Satisfied with the current params so I'll stick with them for now. Also added...

A tank fit for a Hobbit (planning)

With this tank being a peninsula, I'd reconsider your original plan (of not running powerheads). I'd consider running 2 pumps, one of each side running parallel to each other, as in your original plan, with the RFGs. Then consider a couple of decent size powerheads at the end of the tank, where...

    Coral ID

First one looks like a M. stellata and I concur that the second one looks like a M. digitata.

    All for reef alternative

Haven't done 2 part in awhile, but I made this out of scrap acrylic and some JG fittings. It was attached to the side of the sump in the return chamber. I also dosed Alk/Ca at different times with a 10 minute split difference.

    Chalice colors

Yeah, there's only a smidge of blue on mine instead. I'll eventually frag out the blue parts once it grows out onto the outer disk that it's sitting on (it's about to overflow the smaller disk onto the 3" disk). I want to create a more even mix with more blues and greens.

    Randy's Red Sea Reefer 250

These torches are slowly showing up in SoCal. Pretty much a pure yellow that seems to blow everything out of the water. Hope you have space for one.

    Aquabiomics Live Rock Rubble

You bought like the last order of rubble or something? Their notify when available doesn't seem to be working either.

    New Deepwater SPS Arriving Tomorrow

Ah, thanks for pointing that out. Totally skipped the bottom half. o_O

    New Deepwater SPS Arriving Tomorrow

Saw the colonies with a few still sloughing off tissue. The survivors looks like they're bleached for the most part but should pull through. There's also this chunky piece in the mix (branches are thicker than the width of my thumb). Not one of the species listed from what I can tell; looks...

    Waterbox Cube 20G

The CaRx has been doing well for the tank so far. No issues with pH that I can see at the moment. Here's the pH chart for the tank. It's been low recently since they're doing some repair work on the balcony and I've closed all the windows. It'll go back up once they're done and I can crack a...

    Waterbox Cube 20G

Tiny frags for a small tank. This constitutes the bulk of the remaining spaces for sps. They all look pretty good, with the exception of the BC bubblebath unicorn, which looks like half of it receded recently. Just gonna leave it be and just monitor it.

    Need a little help...

No, that intensity isn't too high, even if the mushrooms were sitting in a hotspot. I ran AI Vegas at more than double the intensity on a shallower tank with no issues from any of the corals (all channels at 75% over a 18" tall tank with the lights mounted ~8" above the water line). Your 180...

    Waterbox Cube 20G

This was the 9th Acro added to the tank. As you can see it was pretty much a fresh cut with the exposed skeleton on the side. This is today, a week from adding it to the tank. Tissue has started to regrow over the cut and the skeleton is no longer exposed. Not much happening with it...

Help - Wellso is showing skeleton/dying

I wouldn't worry too much about your PAR. The Wellso doesn't look bleached or suffering from excessive amount of light from the looks of it. I have some of my lps sitting in 250 PAR currently. Your nitrates/phosphates are okay as well. While most don't run their phosphates at those levels, it...

Help - Wellso is showing skeleton/dying

What's your nitrates looking like in that tank? Did anything drop or it or stung it recently?
