    Remote sump, what return pump?

I’d recommend an external ac pump like an iwaki. I’ve had some in use on and off for almost 15 years. Not quiet by modern standards though !

Tangs - never had one. Other than tank size, how hard are they to keep?

You could do some of the smaller tangs on your 4’ tank. I’ve got a 5’ 125 up in pif for free if you want to have an upgrade path

Tangs - never had one. Other than tank size, how hard are they to keep?

Also tangs are the best and for me much of what makes the hobby tick

Tangs - never had one. Other than tank size, how hard are they to keep?

I also just do nori when I feel like it, sometimes for new additions, but keep high algae (eg hikari) pellets mixed in with regular pellets in an autofeeder

Wow holy cannoli! You’re in good shape. With all that strength now you need to get a bigger tank!

Home prep for tank. Need sanity checks and advice.

What are we looking at? What are cross sectional dimensions of those additional members? How attached to the sills? (I think those are sills atop foundation?)

Quarantine process at High Tide Aquatics

So how many days at 2.5ppm copper? And no new fishes coming into system during that time? That would mean you have multiple systems going? Pix would be fun too, really give yourself credit for what you’re doing (which sounds fantastic!)

Starting a QT - tank size?

I’ve got a 20long and a 10gallon I use for qt btw. You could also use a big ole Rubbermaid tub from Home Depot, only need to fill half full, and when you’re done you have a good storage container for your garage to boot! I do this for tank upgrades and moves

Starting a QT - tank size?

What I do, and figure is reasonable, is qt all fish per humble fish, but not snails or corals. I do scrub and rinse snails and coral skeletons and dip corals. And also run a good size UV sterilizer. Have never had disease in display tank in about 3.5 years now with this tank including two...

Free 125 gallon tank (5’ long) with stand

Gone I bought this tank when I was working at an aquarium shop during college in the early oughts and had it as a Fowlr during college. Then it was in storage for a decade plus, then when I moved to the suburbs two years ago I resurrected the tank, refinished and painted the stand...

    Thinking about sumps....

What I have , and recommend is an old beater 40 gallon (3 foot long) acrylic tank and circular saw the top few inches off. Done. Filter roller, skimmer, fuge, etc whatever you want. Look under the tanks at Neptune - just a big trough
