Thanks 2 lefegard Aquatics quiet one as the main return pumps for the display tank 1 rio to send water from the sump to the closet next to my tank where most of my equipment is located, chiller, refugium, skimmer .... gravity feed goes back to the return pump chamber in the sump.

Do you get any bleach smell after the wash? I did try one time to wash them with bleach but I was smelling some bleach after the wash so I was afraid to use them... i don't recall if I did a second wash on them though.

It seams like the skimmer has to much pressure and most likely is sitting to deep. You said you adjusted the water level but if it is to deep you will not be able to stop the over skim. Try raising the skimmer higher if you have the space and see if that fixes the issue. My skimmer is now...
