Use smat ATO or tunze... pretty much all other AToz are better from the experience reports i see in r2r.

i post some stuff occasionally, but mostly because websites have image size limits and its easy to upload image from mobile. i prefer flickr though. You get to download your own image, and see them without the annoying follow me thing

it can be covered by anything, from coral to algae, whatever it is , its easy to scrape it off. I have starte keeping capircornis in small stones and they starte covering the base, without encrusting it. You can keep fungia etc as well

bare bottom for the win. less detritous, higher flow without blowing sands all around. less cyano

You should start with sharing some details about your tank, age and what you plan to keep in it, what maintenance you do etc. We can answer better once those things are available.
