    DBTC: Scrambled Egg Zoas

Definitely. I tweaked the rules. The frags I have available are like 8+ polyps so any frag back in the chain is fine really

Thoughts on a UNS Reef Tank

Underrated tanks. I’ve only had a couple nanos, the UNS60S. One currently running for the past 4 years. Great tanks. Clear glass and the 45° mitered edges look very nice

Mounting AI Blades to a Kessil 360xe; Calling all 3D printing gurus

Ended up making the bracket myself… and were operational. I think it looks great!

Mounting AI Blades to a Kessil 360xe; Calling all 3D printing gurus

Blades have landed. Also managed to make a mount that I think will work great and looks sleek! Will post an update once mounted!

    Algae Identification

Appreciate the offer. Given how limited it was visibly, I’ve either tossed the culprit rocks or peroxide soaked the parts of the rock with the issue. Hopefully that resolves it

    Algae Identification

Apparently didn’t help with mine either cause I wrapped up a treatment not too long ago

    Algae Identification

Will the peroxide rinse for a couple minutes handle at least the visible ulva that I soaked?

    Algae Identification

My tank is small, so limited options as to what I can add. I have plenty of torches and brittle stars. I’ll have to consider what else to add if this peroxide rinse doesn’t help. I’ve already tossed the two smaller rocks that had the majority of it that I saw in the tank

    Algae Identification

Alright, so every rock that I can visibly see any ulva on has been removed and will be tossed. One of my rocks has my torch garden. I pulled it, hit all spots with the ulva with some peroxide and let sit for a couple minutes. Should I be in pretty decent shape? Don’t think there is much else I...

    Algae Identification

damn, I miss my live rock-less tank… since adding live rock I got bryopsis, sponges galore, now this stuff. Fun! Easiest way to deal with this?

    Algae Identification

Have these two algae’s growing in my tank. No idea where they came from other than possibly from the live rock in my tank which is OG live rock imported 15ish years ago and was acquired from a tank shut down a while ago. I scrubbed the rock pretty well before putting into my tank so this wasn’t...

    Foam mat under acrylic aquarium?

I used a denser and slightly thinner than typical yoga mat for my last 36” from Marshall’s/TJ Maxx. Super cheap. Did fine.

    DBTC: Scrambled Egg Zoas

Yellow and blue are pretty uncommon coral colors. You get both in this one zoa!

    DBTC: Scrambled Egg Zoas

I just added Scrambled Egg Zoas to DBTC. There are 4 frag(s) available right now. Rules: 1) Be a supporting member 2) Put 2 frags with at least 2+ polyps back into the chain before selling or doing what ever you want with them 3) These zoas were generously passed on to me by @Alexander1312. I...

    Bangai’s bred in my tank!

Do you think the stress of the tank transfer likely caused the two deaths?

Mounting AI Blades to a Kessil 360xe; Calling all 3D printing gurus

Don’t have the prefab on hand but seeing as it’s designed for the hydra not the Kessil, likely too large for what I need and predrilled holes probably won’t align. Have you seen them mounted like this before? You seem very insistent on the pre fab lol

Mounting AI Blades to a Kessil 360xe; Calling all 3D printing gurus

Thanks! Didn’t at all think about the heat element tbh. The light + blades itself wouldn’t weight very much, but the fact that the attachment would have to be pretty thin + the heat and then the weight on top of that, not sure if just any 3D printed material would work. I have an idea to try to...
