I have no mechanical filtration and have run many years like that. for sump cleaning I use a pump and vacuum out the stuff in the various sections, mostly the return every time I do a WC every other week. vivid creative aquatics has a nice pump attachment for the vacuuming.

I’m impressed, I have a reefer 170 also. You’ve packed a lot into it, especially sps up high. what kind of light are you running? Do you know what par values you’re getting?

The Pay it forward section has some good corals and such too, with no rules. Plus it’s a great place to get other things you need, like macro algae, etc...

I think the humble fish forum was started in response to problems at R2R, not the cause of it. IMO

I have a spectral X controller and run both my tank and refugium lights with it. So if I do switch to this light, I’ll disable the WiFi and just plug it in to the controller.
