    Rock structure building

Another thing is temperature, below 50 degrees it really slows down the cure. Plus this Emaco product goes through a very brittle stage during the cure - if you mess with it, things fall apart (not that I have ever done that...LOL). It has a short learning curve, I've done a couple of "hands...

    Rock structure building

Sounds like some mixing issues, possibly temps as well. It doesn't take much Emaco to hold - I usually use it to also flow the rock pieces together so they look natural. The comparison of of mortar and bricks is really all that is needed. Any more is either using the Emaco as a shim (which I...

Dr. Tim's One and Only is the best start to a good bacteria culture. I've used it on customer tanks dozens of times with great success!

    Rock structure building

Emaco will not work underwater. Emaco will work on "wet" rock (ie Drained a bit, not dripping). Bacteria can easily stand being out of water long enough to do an Emaco build, I do tank remodels all the time - corals and nems included. Those long "cures" in tubs just burn of any biologicals, not...

    Rock structure building

At the end of working cure (about 20 minutes) not too hard to take apart; after 24 hours, not very easy; after full cure (I believe that is about a week, if I recall correctly) the rock usually break before the Emaco...

    Repairing Rockwork on Established Tank

I use A660 all the time in tank remodels - in my mix I've not had any problems. You really cannot make repairs/builds while submerged. THe N427 will cure in about 20 minutes in a warm room - I pull the rock, build and return when set (as I said, around 20 minutes, can be longer depending on...

A rock sleeve that hides you wave makers

I've done those for MP10s. If I can find the pics... Can do those on a custom order basis, just need your glass thickness, and the type of powerhead you want covered to work up a quote for you. Generally I make these with an open bottom to keep enough flow in to the powerhead.
